how to participate selection |
Each story must have at least 1 link to another story.
The meaning for this link is declared by the author in the submissioni form where writers are asked to explain why they are willing to make a link. The declarations of the reasons why an author asks for a linking, for an invitation to join, and the reasons why the latter accepts give shape and life to a very NETERATURE, a new form of net literature. This new literature, in our view, bears even more sense and value than the one made up by the stories and their weft. This is neterature. Links are at the same time tool and aim. ___Tool______ Link shows as door, a chance, and it sets the reader in front of a compulsory choice: continuing the traditional (linear) reading of the literary work or venturing along the unknown routs of the web. Link is a tool of net literature. Surfing or navigation via links is, in principle, the same we all use for example when travelling, but one could argue that is always like this; after all, life all the time sets us in front of a necessary choice. As a ship in the sea, we are never still. Travelling, or living, we experience a reality made up of places and people and we are not finished knowing it when we are reached by different inputs providing us with alternatives: often, we ignore whether it is worthwhile letting us being seduced and then changing city, coach, people to chat with or whether we would better stick where we are and who we are with. neterature translates in literature this reality, that represents a (part) of a nomadic society, wandering, sincretistic, quick, at the same time groundbreaking and founder, capable of generating a literature not as a verticasl process, but rather multidimensional, multidirectional, produced by individual and collective creativity, operated via writing and surfing. Links, as navigation tools, are instrumental to a technologically and culturally up to date literature. |
